Yeah, I borrowed that from Eminem and I thought I'd kick things off with a beat. Welcome to my flavorful corner of the internet. I'm really glad you're here.

So..

Hi, my name is Yohan (just my writing name, but let’s roll with it).Once upon a time, I was a full-time, professionally trained chef, sweating it out behind stoves in restaurants of all shapes and sizes, fine dining spots, bistros, diners, fancy hotels... I've been there, cooked that. I’ve also led cooking workshops for all kinds of people, from beginners to food fanatics, sometimes for money, sometimes just for the love of sharing.

Food isn’t just something I do, it’s a full-on passion. I’m obsessed with everything about it: where it comes from, how it’s grown, the stories behind it, the way it connects cultures, sparks memories, and brings people together. And to add even more flavor? Music. Every post here starts with a song lyric that matches the vibe or story I’m about to tell. It’s like the intro track to a tasty little album.


My mission? To keep learning. To keep exploring food, people, lifestyles, traditions, and weird-but-wonderful facts about dishes you’ve maybe never heard of. I’m always asking:Why does this taste the way it does? Where did it come from? Who made it first? Can I grow it myself?


And then I pass it all on to you! Not as some kind of “know-it-all chef,” but as someone who’s been around the kitchen block a few times and loves to share what I’ve learned. What I write is always from my own perspective: what I’ve seen, tasted, tested, and sometimes totally messed up. It’s not about being right or wrong, it’s about keeping it real.
